Dedicated To My Brother
- - Donald - -

 Donald & Simone

When I Drift Lord

When Things
Start To Go Wrong
Lord
Don't Let It Last Too Long
And When I Think
I'll Go Astray
Please Don't Let Me Drift
From My Faith.

If Someone
Doesn't Seem To Understand
Lord Help Me
So That I Won't Demand
Open My Eyes
And Help Me To See
Just Maybe
The Reason Is Me.

Lord If Someone Says
That We're Losing Touch
If It's Someone
I Love So Very Much
With A Gentle Whisper
Give Me A Lift
Lord,
Please Help Me If I Start To Drift.

We Miss You So Much
Love You Forever
And Always On Our Mind

Donald's Eulogy

There Comes a Time when Holding On
Seems Senseless.
Don Went Through Every Treatment Possible,
he Knew Indignities
he Never Believed it Could Happen to Him.
His Pride was Stripped Away
and All that Was Left Was the Core.
Don No Longer Feared Death.
Death Was a Friend,
Waiting for Him.
He Said his Good-Bye to Everyone
and Everything Important To Him.
He was Ready For a Better Life
With The Lord.

He Fought as Hard As He Could.
He Visualized
the Most Positive Things Possible.
He Got Up and Moved
When It Would have Been
so much Easier to Stay in Bed.
He Held Back Tears when He Wanted to Scream.
He Was a Fearless Fighter,
a Good Patient and He Steered Himself
Against Negative Thinking.
He So Much Wanted To Live.
It was Hard for Him to See
His Body get Weaker
and to Loose Control of it.
It Was Hard to Fight Through The Drugs
to Talk to People.

As Don Faced his Death
There Were a Number of Things
That Bothered Him
But None Created More Passionate Feelings
Than His Concern For His Sons.
He Asked Himself if He Had Been a Good Parent.
He Wondered if He Taught His Sons
the Most He Could Of Life.
He Wondered if He Taught His Sons
to Have a Strong Belief In The Lord.

He Would Not Want for You
to Tie Yourself to him with Tears.
Be Happy that We Had so Many Years.
He Gave Us his Love and Was Thankful
For the Love You each have Shown.
He Won't Be Far Away for Life Goes On;
so If You Need Him,
Call and He Will Come.

Though We Won't See Him or Touch Him,
He'll Be Near and If You Listen With Your Heart,
You'll Hear all of His Love
Around You Soft and Clear.
When We Will Go His Way Alone,
He'll Greet You with a Smile and Say,

" Welcome Home."

NOW FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR,
THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN.
(Hebrews 11:1)

So Faith Cometh By Hearing,
And Hearing By The Word Of God.
(Romans 10:17)
