In Thanks
Dear,
Sweet Jesus,
even as I thank You,
I ask for more.
Shower me with Your graces,
Lord,
that I will always praise You
for Your gifts to me.
Never let me forget who is the Giver
and who is the receiver.
Let my life be a testimony
of Your generosity
to all who call on You.
Dear Lord,
please touch the hearts
of those who neither know how to be grateful
nor even know to ask for Your gifts.
Help us all to find the wonders
You eagerly offer us.
Help us to recognize the joy
in embracing the sorrow.
Help us to discover the healing balm
You offer in the pain.
Help us to know Your power
in Your quiet humility
and love.
Thank You,
Lord,
for allowing me to recognize and accept
so many of Your gifts.
