Jesus,
when I forget Your will
and follow my evil inclinations,
please don’t leave me floundering.
Remember,
I try to love You,
even when I fail so miserably.

You know my heart longs for You,
even when I get distracted from You.
I have to trust You
to remember and not abandon me.

Wake me up to Your presence in my life
when I lose sight of You
and Your way.

I couldn’t go on living
if I thought there was a chance
You would let me go.
