Why Fear Tomorrow?
Why should I fear tomorrow?
When tomorrow comes my way,
This day will then be yesterday -
Tomorrow then today.
And never have I known a day
That could not well be borne;
So will tomorrow bring its strength
Along with its new morn.
Why should I grieve for yesterday?
For it was once today.
It gave me of its sun and shade
Before it passed away.
Why do I cherish so today
These hours rushing by?
Its beauty is no near, so dear;
And sad the word, “Goodbye.”
But fear tomorrow? No,
For I have faith that God will give
A sun for every shadow
All the days that I shall live.
